The Hike | Rich Bell

Support Rich and his efforts at National Links Trust’s ‘The Hike at East Potomac’ on Monday, June 10th

As an Arlington, VA resident who has been playing the DC municipal golf courses for nearly 15 years I am proud to support the National Links Trust in raising money during this Hike.

This particular initiative is near and dear to my heart because I started playing the game on municipal courses in my late teens and understand the benefits of affordable, accessible and quality municipal courses. The game of golf, although intimidating to start, has provided me with some of my fondest memories whether watching or playing. Both professionally and personally, golf has helped me deepen relationships with amazing colleagues, family members and friends.

Even if you’re not a golfer and don’t believe me, go try the food at Langston (the grilled half-smoke is the best in the city) or spend an hour outside the clubhouse at East Potomac enjoying a beer and the views of the monuments. If you are a golfer, I don’t have enough room on this page to remind you of what makes these courses great.

These courses are rich in history and are pillars within the broader DC community. Put simply, these courses epitomize everything great about golf and I want to do my part to help them grow and improve over the coming years.
