Support Jordan Coppess at The Hike

I am hiking for the National Links Trust to help expand access to golf. My connection to the sport started on the public fairways of Columbus, Ohio. Having affordable access to those municipal courses is what initially introduced me to the game and provided a place for me to consistently practice and develop as a player.

Golf consistently teaches intangible life skills that carry over far beyond the course. When the sport is walled off by high costs or exclusivity, we inherently limit who gets the chance to learn and benefit from those lessons.

NLT is committed to ensuring that the courses they manage function as open, shared community hubs. Successfully executing on this vision in D.C. will provide a framework for other municipalities around the country to revitalize their own community engagement strategies. I am hiking for NLT because protecting these local courses is the most direct way to ensure that golf, and the values it instills, remains an accessible opportunity for anyone who wants to play.
