Support Chris Sosnoski at The Hike

I didn’t pick up a golf club until late in college in the mid-2000s. For a long time, it felt out of reach, something meant for people who could afford the time and expense. That perception kept me away more than anything else.

When I finally got on a course, I realized golf offers much more than its reputation. It reflects how you approach life. It teaches integrity, no one is watching every shot, so honesty is on you. It keeps you humble and shows that patience and consistency pay off over time.

Golf also teaches you to stay present. One bad shot doesn’t ruin the round, just like one setback doesn’t define your path. You learn to reset, adjust, and keep going. There’s a balance between working to improve and simply enjoying the game.

It also builds camaraderie. Time on the course creates space for conversation and connection, bringing people together through a shared experience.

What once felt inaccessible has become something meaningful, a game that challenges you and shapes how you carry yourself both on and off the course.

National Links Trust (NLT) is dedicated to making golf more affordable, accessible, and impactful within the community. Their mission is simple but powerful: to open the game to more people and create opportunities for those who might not otherwise have the chance to play.

Golf has so much to offer. Lessons in integrity, patience, and connection shouldn’t be out of reach. NLT is helping break down those barriers and bring the game to a broader, more diverse community.

It’s an organization I genuinely believe in and am proud to support. I hope you’ll consider joining me in supporting this incredible mission.
