Morgan Stanley expands its role with the NLT Championship in a new long-term agreement

Washington, DC, May 29, 2025 – National Links Trust (NLT), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to positively impacting local communities and changing lives through affordable and accessible municipal golf, announced today an expanded partnership with Morgan Stanley to serve as a Founding Partner Sponsor of the National Links Trust Championship to be held October 17-19, 2025  at East Potomac Golf Links in Washington, DC. Morgan Stanley will also serve as the Presenting Sponsor of the Am-Am event as part of the championship.  This new three-year agreement will provide additional support to enhance the championship as it moves into its fourth year and becomes a 54-hole WAGR championship. The National Links Trust Championship is the premier national championship for men and women, open exclusively to public-access golfers aged 25 and over. Aligning with the National Links Trust's commitment to accessibility in golf, the Championship’s entry fee will be affordable, and stipends will be provided to players traveling to Washington, DC. Anera Sports, an event management firm, will help administrate the Championship.

“Giving back is at the core of Morgan Stanley and I’m pleased to have the opportunity to expand our collaboration with the National Links Trust as we endeavor to create meaningful impact and build communities where everyone can thrive,” said Rob Meredith, Mid-America Regional Director, Morgan Stanley Wealth Management. “As Founding Partner Sponsor of the National Links Trust Championship, our support will benefit their sustainability and restoration projects and educational initiatives including the Jack Vardaman Workforce Development Program.”

“Driven by our mutual commitment to preserve and promote the game of amateur golf, the AGA is proud to partner with the National Links Trust in their mission to positively impact our community and change lives through affordable and accessible municipal golf,” said Alan Fadel, Senior Vice President at Morgan Stanley and President and Chairman of the Amateur Golf Alliance Board of Directors. “I’m thrilled to see Morgan Stanley deepen their relationship with the National Links Trust to help bolster our joint mission and deepen ties to the community.”

This national championship is open exclusively to public-access golfers aged 25 and over and features men’s and women’s divisions. It is being held at East Potomac Golf Links, a 1923 Walter Travis design, and it also honors the 100th anniversary of the United States Public Links Championship being held at the facility.

Several other partners have signed on to support the event, including Golf Genius, Ashworth Apparel Company, the Aurora Group and several Allied Golf Associations across the country that support the importance of public golf facilities in the communities they serve.

The Championship benefits the National Links Trust and the Amateur Golf Alliance.
